Bigger Teeth is Carlos' third full-length album, and their second Headhunter Records. A couple years ago, Carlos went into the studio with Kramer (Shimmy Disc) and recorded a fuzz-drenched album that was to become their Headhunter debut, Amy Armageddon. After delivering the masters to Headhunter, Mark Trombino (Drive Like Jehu) was hired to dig through the layers of fuzz and re-mix it with a little more umph! The result was an album that could not only please your pop palette, but make your balls rumble at the same time. This time around, Norman Kerner and Daniel Presley (Imperial Teen) of Brilliant Studios, San Francisco were at the controls, and they delivered the goods. Bigger Teeth is full of HUGE pop hooks, exciting lyrics and brilliant production. This is NOT a typical Headhunter release, and Carlos are not a typical Headhunter band. After three consecutive years of playing San Francisco's Noise Pop! Festival, Carlos has been branded as just that, "noise pop". Over the past six years, Carlos have spent much time playing around their home town of San Francisco at clubs like Bottom of the Hill and the Kilowatt, as well as traveling up and down the coast sharing the stage with the likes of the Meices, Action Slacks, Overwheliming Colorfast, Pee and other noise pop friends.
